Shadow
has been studying magic in one form or another for his whole life.
He was raised with Chinese and Buddhist influences, took lessons
in various forms of legerdemain from the age of ten, and frequented
the local magic and occult shop regularly. His original draw to
magic (spelled with a 'c' to indicate the illusionary sort) also
led him to investigate magick (spelled with a 'ck' to indicate the
spiritual sort). One fateful day, these two separate worlds of “magic”
and “magick” came crashing together at a psychic fair. Shadow recognized
a well-known prestidigitator posing as a psychic astrologer! This
led to a growing understanding of just how intertwined the 'business'
of belief is with charlatans and scam artists. As a result, he has
carefully researched both sides of the belief/doubt coin. After
all, when seeking the truth, you must first be able to spot the
lies; otherwise how can you tell the difference?
Shadow
has applied his many creative and clever talents to: mythological
statuary sales with the Museum Company, co-creating an entirely
new marketing plan and company image overhaul for the Ravish And
Lavish Company (with award-winning trade show booth design!), co-owning
a video production company, circus training & teaching, feng
shui consultations, working with various forms of divination, carnival
barking, and even haunted house spooking!
